Volunteering

DFA encourages members to volunteer their time to give back to their community where there is need for their expertise. To that end, there will be a section here for posting opportunities to give the membership the option of choosing those assignments that fit both their expertise and their schedule.

Areas that need to be addressed are community outreach--meeting with commercial and non-profit entities to determine need; and law enforcement--gaining contacts with local police departments, FBI, and other branches of law enforcement for both networking and fostering good relations.

The DFA is particularly interested in organizations that would be willing to offer paid or unpaid internships in digital forensics.  We are looking at partnering with organizations offering internships and academic instutitions that offer digital forensics training to create opportunities for our members to gain hands on expertise in their field prior to graduation.

If you have volunteer opportunities for members, please contact the DFA.
